Cante Jondo established by Vasiliy and Inez Kleymenovs. We would be very pleased if our site opens up the wonderful world of flamenco to you.
Our Flamenco Theater was set up in 1989 as part of the Moscow Concert ballet department. The Theater used to perform its show
Flamenco Dances. Gypsy Dances of the World throughout Russia, Japan, Germany, Romania, India, Nepal, Spain, the USA and Yugoslavia.
In the past few years, the Theater has globally performed its
show Flamenco – Duende de
Mi Corazón", first presented in the Moscow Concert Hall of Youth in October 2004.
Highly appreciated by the audience, the Theater is making performance tours inside and outside Russia. Repeated invitations have come from the governments of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan. Our Theater has become an award-winner of 2005
World Arts Festival in
Edinburgh.
The recent guest appearance was in Israel in June 2007.
The Theater has a dancing studio Cante Jondo (flamenco school) for teaching gitanos dances, dances of Spanish gypsies. It is impossible to appreciate the beauty and power of this dance without seeing it. So, we are waiting for you at our Theater and studio.
